01 — The bench

Twelve roles, one standard: production-grade.

Every engineer is vetted on real project work — architecture reviews, code samples, and a practitioner interview — not keyword matching.

Role 01

GenAI / Agent Engineer

RAG systems, agent orchestration, tool design, and eval harnesses. Ships LLM features that survive production traffic.

Role 02

Data Engineer

Spark, lakehouse, and streaming pipelines with tested data contracts. Builds the plumbing your analysts trust.

Role 03

Analytics Engineer

dbt, semantic models, and metric definitions. Turns raw tables into answers the business agrees on.

Role 04

Data Architect

Platform architecture, data modeling, and governance design. Sets the blueprint the engineers build to.

Role 05

Cloud Architect

AWS, Azure, and GCP landing zones, networking, and security baselines. Cloud that passes audit on day one.

Role 06

MLOps / LLMOps Engineer

Model deployment, experiment tracking, CI/CD for ML, and inference cost control. Keeps models boring and reliable.

Role 07

DevOps / Platform Engineer

Kubernetes, Terraform, and GitOps. Internal platforms that make the rest of the team faster.

Role 08

Data Scientist / ML Engineer

Modeling, experimentation, and feature engineering tied to business metrics — not notebooks that die in a repo.

Role 09

BI & Visualization Developer

Dashboards and semantic layers on Power BI, Tableau, or modern stacks. Reports people actually open.

Role 10

PostgreSQL / Database Specialist

Migrations, query tuning, HA design, and DBA operations. The person you want on call during cutover.

Role 11

Solution Architect

End-to-end solution design across data, AI, and cloud with stakeholder alignment. Owns the "does it fit together" question.

Role 12

Fractional Data/AI Architect

Part-time senior leadership for teams that need architectural judgment without a full-time hire. Roadmaps, reviews, and mentoring.

02 — Engagement models

Five ways to engage, one accountability model.

Start small and scale the team as the work proves itself. Every model includes a pod lead who owns delivery.

Model A

Individual Expert

One senior engineer embedded in your team, your rituals, your backlog. Ideal for a specific gap: a migration, a pipeline rebuild, a GenAI feature.

Model B

Small Pod

2–4 cross-functional engineers with a pod lead — e.g., data engineer + analytics engineer + GenAI engineer. A complete delivery unit for one workstream.

Model C

Dedicated Team

5+ engineers operating as your extended team with architecture oversight, sprint cadence, and SLAs. For platform builds and multi-quarter programs.

Model D

Fractional Architect

Part-time senior architect: 1–3 days a week of design authority, code and architecture reviews, and team mentoring. Judgment without the full-time hire.

Model E

Advisory Sprint

A fixed-scope 2-week engagement — assessment, architecture blueprint, or build-vs-buy analysis — that de-risks the bigger decision. Credited toward a follow-on team.

How we work

Embedded, not outsourced

Our engineers join your standups, your repos, and your on-call rotation where it makes sense. You get velocity; we keep the bar.

03 — The builder

Build your team, step by step.

Eight quick steps. Nothing is sent until you review and submit — this page just scopes the request.

Step 1 of 8

Which technologies matter most?

Select all that apply. This routes your request to the right bench.

Step 2 of 8

Which skills does the work need?

Select all that apply. Skills define the roles we staff; technologies define the stack they use.

Step 3 of 8

How big a team?

Pick one. You can scale up or down after the first sprint.

Step 4 of 8

How long do you need them?

Pick one. Most engagements extend once the team is embedded.

Step 5 of 8

What working-hours overlap do you need?

Pick one. Our bench covers US, EU, and APAC hours.

Step 6 of 8

When should the team start?

An approximate date is fine — the exact start is confirmed on the intro call.

Typical staffing lead time is 2–4 weeks from signed agreement.

Step 7 of 8

Describe the project.

What are you building or fixing? What does success look like? A few sentences is enough.

Minimum 30 characters — the more specific, the better the match.

Step 8 of 8

Review and request your team.

Check the summary, add your details, and submit. We'll respond with a scoped proposal within two business days.

Your brief is used only to scope your team request — see our Privacy Policy. No marketing without consent.

Request received.

Thanks — your team brief is in. An architect will review it and reply with a scoped proposal and intro-call times within two business days.

04 — FAQ

Team-building questions

How fast can a team start?

Typical lead time is 2–4 weeks from signed agreement: one week for matching and interviews, one to three for onboarding to your repos, rituals, and access. Individual experts can sometimes start sooner.

Do we interview the engineers first?

Yes. We shortlist against your brief and you interview the finalists — technical and culture fit — before anyone starts. If a match isn't right in the first two weeks, we replace them.

Who manages the team day to day?

You do, for individuals and small pods — they join your standups and backlog. For dedicated teams, an AnovaCloud pod lead owns delivery cadence and reports to you weekly. Either way there is one throat to choke: us.

Can the engagement scale up or down?

Yes — team size adjusts monthly after an initial commitment period. Most clients start with a pod, prove the working model, then scale to a dedicated team.

What does pricing look like?

Monthly per-engineer rates vary by role seniority and engagement model; fractional architects are priced per day. Your proposal includes the rate card and the ramp plan — no hidden fees, no placement markups.

PREFER TO TALK FIRST?

Describe the outcome. We'll design the team.

Thirty minutes with an architect is often faster than a form — we'll map your goals to roles and send the proposal.
